Best buds

These two are becoming best buds! They definitely have their moments but they always are happy to see each other.

 

 

Carter learned how to swing all by himself. He doesn't even want that first little push, Mr. Independent!

 

 

Carter gave Averi the yellow marker that doesn't work...he has learned fast how she works!

Fun Craft

Here's something to do once you've got all the hunt out of your eggs. They are really cute. The eggs from Target already have the holes in the bottom so all you have to do is string them and add a face. Happy Easter!

Retail therapy

We have had so many doctors appointments this week and nobody is sick! Carter had to have xrays on his legs yesterday because they were growing kind of knock-kneed. Anyway, after talking to him and promising a trip to the donut shop after his appt. I thought we were okay. When we went in the xray room he started screaming, crying, kicking, scared to death. It was awful!! So I had one nurse watching Averi out in the hall while me and 2 other nurses held Carter down. After 3 tries taking the xrays they finally gave up on getting a good one. After all of this, his legs are fine and I'm thinking why in the world did we have to do all of this?!
After a dozen donut holes, a chocolate donut, and one with sprinkles we were doing pretty well.
After shopping and buying a cute little black dress I had almost forgotten the whole experience.
What is it about retail therapy that really does work?
Then today, Carter got in trouble for the first time at Mother's Day Out. His teacher told me she couldn't get him to stay on his nap mat. I guess if this is the worst of our problems, we are doing okay. There's just something about that first "discussion" with the teacher and knowing that your sweet little boy isn't always sweet. Even though I already knew that...maybe I should just go shopping some more!

Daddy nights

Nights with Daddy are the best! The kids love Daddy's nights because they usually get to eat at McDonalds (actually Old McDonalds). They get to pop popcorn, which Adam loves to really pop popcorn with the good ole popper. They usually watch a movie...it's just all fun and games! I love Daddy nights too because I get to be around grown-ups and hangout with my girlfriends. In fact as I am typing this I'm thinking we need to have more daddy nights!

 

OH...and they get to hang out in their undies!

 

 

Hungry?!

Averi is our little scavenger! She finds things and eats them before we can get them out of her hands. This week (and it's only Wed.) she has had a push-up pop that she found under the swings at the playground, a day old Sonic burger that she pulled out of the trashcan, and the best...Carter's plant that he proudly planted at Sunday School on Sunday! She had soil all in between her teeth and I didn't even get a picture! Carter was over on the floor screaming and crying saying, "Averi, don't eat my plant!!" It was a priceless moment.
I know all the moms are saying, "I'm not letting my child ever go to their house!" and I don't blame you! The good news is she has been the healthiest child ever (knock on wood!).

Fav toys

Averi LOVES the chair Noni & Dado gave her! She just doesn't like sharing it!

 

 

Carter is one bike riding dude. He rode 2 miles the other day...I couldn't believe it. By the end his legs were "sooooo tired".

 

Pray for Carsyn

One of my good friends, Courtney, had her baby early this week...at 32 weeks. Sweet baby Carsyn is doing really well but, as a mom, I just can't imagine your new little baby going through this. There is comfort in knowing that God is holding her in the palm of His hand. Please pray for her every chance you get and pray for her parents too. They are such a sweet, sweet family.

B-Ball boys

Adam and Carter live for Sunday night...BASKETBALL!! They both love it! Now Carter has his "basketball clothes" that he has to wear each week. They tried to make their game faces for me...he sure loves his Daddy!
