Averi's ONE!

Cake time is the best time! Averi dug in pretty quick! She really like digging around and playing with the cake. I don't know how much actually made it into her mouth! She was so cute looking at everyone while they sang Happy Birthday. It was a special day! I can't believe our baby is one. She is still a baby to me...maybe we can keep her that way for a little while longer!

More party fun

Averi took 12 steps with everyone watching! It was so cute! Before today the most she has taken was 5. Carter took her for a ride on his four-wheeler. Not really! They just posed for a pic. But the big boys and Gracie did enjoy the four-wheeler while everyone else was partying. They crashed into just about everything in the backyard!

Purse Party

Yes...we had a purse party for Averi's 1st birthday! It was just about as girly as you could get. Adam kind of rolled his eyes when I told him but I think he liked it in the end! Averi loves purses...carrying them around and especially emptying them out! It's been so easy with Carter, we have a different sport themed party each year, football, then baseball, then golf. Girls are a little more complicated but lots of fun!

Fair Fun

We had a blast at the fair this year! Carter loved the rides...he loved everything! If only I could get Adam on a ride. He thinks they might break down or something like that. He will ride the scariest rides at Six Flags but won't put a foot near the tilt-a-whirl. Craziness! I, on the other hand, would like to buy a wristband and ride as many rides as I could!
Carter REALLY believed he was driving a motorcycle and a boat. Wouldn't life be so great if we could all get that excited over a boat ride that went around in circles! The simplicity of a child!

First Day of School

Carter started "school" last week and LOVES it! He gets so excited and talks nonstop all the way there. We had a fun morning with an extra special breakfast before school!

We went to see our nephews show their goats at the fair. They are so cute! It was funny watching city-boy Carter hanging out with his country-boy cousins. Kash was jumping through the mud having a great time and Carter didn't want to get dirty. We are going to have to take him to play with them more often!
